Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Futures Manufacturing. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our automated production lines.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the day-to-day breakdown and planned maintenance (PM) is carried out in accordance with the plan
Work closely with production/manufacturing engineering to improve quality of current processes and ensure any process issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner whilst PM regime is adhered to
Understand and use statistical process control and process capability to drive continuous improvement. Lead and support Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing projects following the Lean Six Sigma principles
To be conversant with OEE and work with the production team to address top losses of asset downtime and improve machine capability
Engineering Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA), to work with other teams and departments to help facilitate and introduce FMEAs

Requirements:
Time served multiskilled maintenance engineer with experience of automated production lines for an FMCG manufacturer
ONC/HNC/City&Guilds or similar electrical qualification alongside 17th Edition
Fault finding and repair of PLC controlled systems (AC/DC drives, motor controls, 24VDC/415/240v, control and electrical systems)
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (5S, Kanban, Kaizen, Six Sigma)
