PE Specialist Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced PE Specialist to join our team at GSL Education. The successful candidate will work at a secondary school in York, North Yorkshire, providing high-quality physical education to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging physical education lessons to students with varying needs and abilities.
  • Work closely with other teachers, administrators, and parents to support students' overall development and well-being.
  • Evaluate students' progress and performance through various assessment methods.
  • Plan and deliver GCSE and BTEC PE lessons that cater to students' individual needs.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher with experience in planning and delivering physical education lessons.
  • Knowledge of different complex needs, associated learning difficulties, and challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to differentiate for students with special educational needs.
  • 10-year career history with relevant reference details.
  • Child Only DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.

Please note that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
