About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Lakefield Neurological Centre in Chigwell. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with complex neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene and mobility, to promote independence and dignity.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, working closely with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Monitor and report any changes in patient condition, ensuring timely interventions and adjustments to care.
  • Participate in ward rounds, collaborating with colleagues to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Update patient records accurately and efficiently, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in healthcare, preferably in a neurological or complex care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge of tracheostomy and ventilator care, with a willingness to undertake further training and development.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.
