Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Inventory Counter to join our team at Desford. As an Inventory Counter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of production material counts across all product lines.



Salary: £28,150 per annum (rising to £30,150 once fully competent)

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for counting production material, supporting cycle/test count programs, and conducting inventory reconciliations. You will also be required to investigate transaction history, check receiving and last receipts, liaise with PD/Engineering, and ensure that material is dispersing correctly.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Counting production material across the site and adjusting inventory by location as required.
  • Documenting and audit correction within the Glovia system, in line with Corporate and Sarbanes Oxley audit requirements.
  • Conducting first-stage inventory reconciliation, including root cause analysis.
  • Liaising with departments to support goals and reach plan by year-end.
  • Performing location/stores audits and receipt counting as required.

Requirements:

  • An excellent level of literacy and numeracy skills (maths test required).
  • Self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of operation and logistic functions.
  • Knowledge of the Glovia systems and logistic transactions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation and work within a team environment.
  • Computer literate on Microsoft office.
  • Possess knowledgeable Material Control processes and systems.
