Audio Visual Systems Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Audio Visual Systems Designer to join our team. As a Technical AV Specialist, you will be responsible for producing CAD drawings, schematics, elevations, and plans for commercial AV installations using Stardraw.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and produce System Flow Schematics, AV Positional Layout Drawings, and Rack Layout Drawings.
  2. Develop full installation AV Schematics and 'As-Builts'.
  3. Design bespoke metalwork and assist in the production of Cable and Components listings.
  4. Specialist Drawings as required for custom production work.
  5. Track changes and developments in drawings & plans, updating AV schematics.
  6. Upload drawings to internal system for all users.
  7. Participate in BTO and track changes, updating drawing register within agreed timescales.
  8. Support on drawings for tender specifications and raise RFI's.
  9. Occasional site attendance required.
  10. Awareness of new products and suggest improvements on specified equipment and design.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. On-site customer-facing pre-sales meetings.
  2. Engineer and programming support.
  3. New product research and testing.
  4. Basic training on drawings for ISE's.

Requirements:

  1. 2 years audiovisual experience.
  2. Comprehensive working knowledge of current AV systems associated IT elements, and their installations.
  3. Good organisation skills and ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Self-motivated and highly professional, able to lead and take ownership and responsibility for system designs.
  6. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and to tight deadlines.
  7. A desire to learn and improve skills and knowledge.
  8. Fast learner, energetic, enthusiastic.
  9. Adaptable and flexible to business demands.
  10. Positive 'can-do' attitude.
  11. Team player.
  12. Clean driving licence.
  13. Good numeracy and written skills.
  14. Advanced PC skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CAD, Adobe.
