Audio Visual Design Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Audio Visual Design Consultant to join our team at CV Library. As an AV Design Consultant, you will be responsible for producing high-quality CAD drawings, schematics, and plans for commercial AV installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and produce system flow schematics, AV positional layout drawings, and rack layout drawings for commercial AV installations.
  2. Produce full installation AV schematics and 'As-Builts' for various job sites.
  3. Design and produce bespoke metalwork for AV installations.
  4. Assist in the production of cable and components listings, including cable schedules.
  5. Produce specialist drawings as required for custom production work.
  6. Track changes and developments in drawings and plans, updating AV schematics accordingly.
  7. Upload drawings to our internal system for all users.
  8. Participate in BTO (Building Technology Operations) activities, tracking changes and updating the drawing register within agreed timescales.
  9. Support the production of drawings for tender specifications and raise RFIs as necessary.
  10. Occasionally attend sites to provide customer-facing pre-sales meetings, engineer and programming support, new product research and testing, and basic training on drawings for ISEs.

Requirements:

  1. 2 years of experience in the audiovisual industry.
  2. Comprehensive knowledge of current AV systems, associated IT elements, and their installations.
  3. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload effectively.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Self-motivated and highly professional, able to lead and take ownership of system designs.
  6. Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  7. Desire to learn and improve skills and knowledge.
  8. Fast learner, energetic, and enthusiastic.
  9. Adaptable and flexible to business demands.
  10. Positive 'can-do' attitude.
  11. Team player.
  12. Clean driving license.
  13. Good numeracy and written skills.
  14. Advanced PC skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CAD, and Adobe.
  15. CTS and CTS D certifications.
