Job Summary

We are seeking a Junior Software Test Engineer to join our Software Development team, which is a critical component of our operation and a key factor in our innovation. As a Junior Test Engineer, you will play a key part in our development of a smart and scalable platform that will support our innovation and link into our hardware research and development to ensure GivEnergy remains ahead of the market and can deliver on our mission to empower energy freedom for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the senior team to analyze requirements, build test plans, and test new features.
  • Work with and enable the expert user community.
  • Analyze issues raised and feed back to the team.
  • Work with the team to build out automated testing capabilities.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year's testing/QA experience in software.
  • Experience with defect and test management software (e.g. Jira).
  • Knowledge of testing web and mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with various testing techniques.
  • Great troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Writing test cases, checklists, and test plans.
Desirable Skills
  • Writing test automation in Cypress.
  • Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience working with mobile testing services/labs.
  • Home Assistant.
  • Automation and CI/CD pipelines.
