Renewable Energy Consultant for Agricultural Sector

We are seeking a skilled renewable energy consultant to join our team at Raw Energy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy technologies, project management, and consulting in renewable energy. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects in the renewable energy field.

This role involves promoting and selling solar energy systems to farmers and agricultural businesses, helping them reduce energy costs and increase sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a passion for renewable energy, a strong understanding of the agricultural sector, and proven sales experience.

Raw Energy was founded to help facilitate the growth in power generated from renewable sources and to ensure that energy generated is used as efficiently as possible. Our team has extensive knowledge and experience in consultancy, development, asset management, investment, construction, installation, and agri-tech.

Key responsibilities include:
1. Identifying potential customers within the agricultural sector and conducting comprehensive assessments of their energy needs and objectives.
2. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with farmers, agribusiness owners, and other stakeholders.
3. Providing expertise and guidance on project planning, design, and implementation.
4. Performing financial analyses, including cost-benefit evaluations, ROI calculations, and budget estimations.
5. Supporting business development activities, including proposal writing, client presentations, and relationship management.
6. Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, grants, regulations, and industry standards.
7. Staying informed about the latest solar energy technologies and effectively communicating their benefits to customers.
8. Negotiating contracts and terms with clients to close sales.
9. Providing ongoing support to customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and addressing any issues that arise.
10. Working closely with the installation and service teams to ensure smooth project execution.
11. Maintaining accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions, and reporting regularly on sales performance.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years proven sales experience in the agricultural or renewable energy sectors.
• Strong expertise in renewable energy technologies.
• Proven track record of successfully managing renewable energy projects from conception to operation.
• High-level negotiation and project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to understand and explain technical information.
• Self-motivation with a strong work ethic.
• Proficiency in CRM software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, grants, and environmental considerations for renewable energy projects.
• Leadership capabilities, including managing contractors and third parties.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and permitting processes in the UK.
• Willingness to learn new skills and a can-do attitude.
• Right to work in the UK and full UK driving license.
