Job Title: Software Engineer

MERITUS Talent is partnering with a leading defence organization to recruit a Software Engineer on a contract basis for an initial 6-month contract with potential extensions.

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, multi-skilled team working on complex technical projects, experiencing a wide range of technologies and engineering disciplines.

Job Description:

The role involves designing, developing, and using closed-loop Hardware In The Loop (HWIL) simulations to investigate and prove the behaviours and performance of products under various conditions.

HWIL testing is a critical part of the missile design and development cycle, focusing on understanding and investigating product characteristics and behaviours, often with prototype equipment and cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop HWIL simulations to test product behaviours and performance
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement complex technical solutions
  • Work with real missile equipment and sophisticated test facilities
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and engineering disciplines
