Job Opportunity: Head of Religious Studies

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Religious Studies to join our team at Wayman Education. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Religious Studies department, ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education in this subject area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Religious Studies department, including planning, teaching, and assessing students
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans that meet the needs of our students and align with national standards
  • Recruit, train, and support a team of teachers to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive education for our students

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head of Religious Studies or in a similar leadership role
  • Excellent teaching and leadership skills, with a strong track record of improving student outcomes
  • Strong subject knowledge and expertise in Religious Studies
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared goals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
