Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Client Accounting Supervisor to join our team at Encore Estate Management. As a key member of our Client Accounting department, you will play a vital role in the management of our team and the financial operations of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management
    • Supervise a team of client accountants and ensure the timely completion of tasks and milestones.
    • Provide training, mentoring, and leadership to team members, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
    • Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to discuss progress and address any concerns.
  • Financial Operations
    • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including service charge accounts, quarterly financial reports, and year-end balancing adjustments.
    • Ensure accurate and timely bank reconciliations for client estates, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
    • Reconcile opening balances for estates handed over from other agents or developers, ensuring seamless integration with our Qube software.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Liaise with the Client Accounting Manager to identify areas for system and procedure improvements, promoting commercial awareness across the team.
    • Work closely with Estate Managers to provide relevant financial information, supporting the identification of S20B notices.
    • Assist the accounts team and other departments with day-to-day and ad-hoc duties, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
    Requirements
    • 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a client accounting or accounts practice environment.
    • Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience.
    • Experience with Qube software is desirable but not essential.
    • Be legally able to work in the UK.
