We are seeking a skilled Lift Maintenance Technician to join our team at Schindler Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our lift equipment in the South region, covering London, Bedfordshire, and Hertfordshire.

About the Role:

  • Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of lift equipment, including minor repairs and component replacements, in accordance with approved company procedures.
  • Rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment in cases of breakdown, and check to confirm correct functioning.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and checks on lift installations, including speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature, and power supply, using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults using a range of techniques, technical manuals, and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service.
  • Work in accordance with established Company Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current company and UK legal requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in lift servicing, maintenance, or repairs.
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in lift maintenance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Flexibility and good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills at different levels (client, inspectors, managers).
  • Full UK driving license required.
