Service Maintenance Technician

We are currently recruiting for a Service Engineer to be based in the South, covering London, Bedfordshire, and Hertfordshire regions. Ideally, they will be based in the St Albans/Hemel Hempstead area.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning.
  • Checking the lift function as part of maintenance, checks to include, speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature, and power supply using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment.
  • Carry out the routine inspection, adjustment, of lift installations in accordance with approved procedures. Reinstate lift and complete service log cards and PDA.
  • Carrying out fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals, and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service.
  • All employees are required to work in accordance with established Company Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current company and UK legal requirements.
  • Employees must comply with Company Health & Safety requirements and set a personal example of safe behavior at all times.
  • Employee must adhere to the use of a handheld device for reporting work activities and any future technology introduced to enhance real-time reporting.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Lift Servicing/Maintenance/Repairs preferred.
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift maintenance.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Flexibility.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills at different levels (client/Inspectors/Managers).
  • Full UK driving License required.
