About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Underwriter to join our team at Brooke Harrison Recruitment. As a Mortgage Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in the manual underwriting of loan applications, ensuring they align with our mission and meet clients' unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manual underwriting from application to authorization.
- Efficiently process loan applications, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and lending practices.
- Authorization of loans within specified limits, taking into account financial stability and risk assessment.
- Thorough risk assessment based on financial stability, ensuring the integrity of our lending practices.
- Effective communication with clients, brokers, and stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
- Previous mortgage underwriting experience is essential, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and lending practices.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
