Our client is an established specialist lender who, owing to growth, are establishing a new Mortgage Underwriting hub in Central Manchester. 12-15, but to start with they are recruiting 5-6 to join in late summer / early autumn. Because it is a new team, they are only looking at current (or recently) mandated underwriters and are willing to pay a high competitive salary for the most experienced.

As their Underwriter, you will be analysing all key elements of all mortgage applications from application to completion. They offer a hybrid approach to the working week.

Principal responsibilities of the Mortgage Underwriter will include:
Ensure relevant documentation and information received is checked for adherence to policy and criteria.
The successful Mortgage Underwriter candidate will possess:
Significant manual mortgage underwriting experience with a personal mandate and with a preference for B2L exposure
A team ethos, helping each other, and building relationships with colleagues in other offices throughout the UK

along with gaining more in-depth BTL mortgage experience within an experienced team.
