Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary pupil referral unit in Manchester. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Lead small group sessions and 1:1 interventions to ensure students are progressing at a good rate.
- Assist in assessing and monitoring students, providing feedback based on their progress.
- Implement individual learning plans in collaboration with the class teacher.
- Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to support the development and progression of each student.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience working as a HLTA.
- Experience working with primary-aged children, preferably in a specialized setting.
- Experience managing challenging behavior and confidence in handling it.
- Commitment to inclusive education and a passion for supporting children.
- Some experience leading classes in the absence of a teacher.
- Able to provide comprehensive feedback to enhance student development.
