Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary SEMH provision in Manchester. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide classroom support to students with SEMH needs, helping to deliver lessons and engage students in their learning.
  • Plan and lead small group and one-on-one interventions tailored to the needs of individual students.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of EHCPs, behaviour management strategies, and individual learning plans.
  • Manage challenging behaviour.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged students, preferably within an SEMH setting.
  • A good understanding of SEMH needs, learning disabilities, and behavioural challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Team Teach or other relevant behaviour management training (desirable).

This is a full-time role, and the successful candidate will be expected to work the full hours. Please apply with an up-to-date CV if you are interested.
