A dynamic opportunity has emerged at BEUMER Group in Rugby, UK, for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary of approximately £45,000 per annum.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced engineer to take on key responsibilities in maintaining equipment and ensuring customer operational success. Key tasks will include:

  • Preventing customer operational failures due to equipment malfunction
  • Performing systems analysis on S7 PLC, Profibus, ASi-Bus, EtherCat network, and logging analysis on sorter controllers
  • Executing diversified electrical and mechanical tasks, including analytical troubleshooting in planned and reactive environments
  • Ensuring completion of PPM schedules within agreed timescales to a high standard
  • Identifying problematic faults, rectifying, and monitoring performance continuously
  • Backing up and restoring PLCs
  • Articulating detailed reports
  • Monitoring Operational sorter performances and implementing continuous improvement measures as requested by customers
  • Supporting existing site-based BEUMER Group CS Colleagues
  • Contributing to project and facility management work
  • Providing general customer support

The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or 4 Engineering/HNC Eng/HND Eng/ONC Eng, Siemens Step 7 Level 2, and knowledge of conducting sorter Health Checks, sortation and conveyor systems, Emergency Stop System, and Safety Supervision System.
