About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Hospitality Assistant to join our team at Queen Mary University of London. As a key member of our Hospitality and Retail department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring the front-of-house environment is always well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • To welcome, help, and serve guests while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
  • To assist with the servicing of food and beverages for events and outlets across our campuses.
  • To drive our Hospitality vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • To work effectively in a fast-paced environment, standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects as required.
  • To be available to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as necessary.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential.
  • A clear understanding of food safety regulations and practices.
  • Professionalism, motivation, and excellent communication skills.
  • An ability to work calmly under pressure and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • A clean driving license is required.
