We are seeking an experienced dental practitioner to join our team as a Clinical Teacher in the Centre for Teaching and Innovation, Institute of Dentistry.
As a Clinical Teacher, you will provide clinical teaching and support for the training of BDS and DCP undergraduate students providing routine dental care in our outreach clinics. This is a part-time position, with days primarily on Monday and/or Thursday/Friday.
The Dental School at Queen Mary provides clinical care at the Dental Hospital in Whitechapel and at three outreach sites: The Barkantine Centre, Kenworthy Road Dental Centre, and the Sir Ludwig Guttmann Centre. You will work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care and educational programs.
About the Job Description
- Provide clinical teaching and support for undergraduate students in outreach clinics.
- Develop and implement educational programs to enhance student learning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of patient care and education.
- Participate in all aspects of clinical governance and training activities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 5 years' experience as a dental practitioner in the UK.
- A strong interest in dental education and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
- Good interpersonal and teamworking skills.
- A positive approach to learning new skills and knowledge.
