About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to join our care team, working 18 hours per week over 3 shifts. This role offers the perfect blend of flexibility and purpose, providing essential support to residents in our care home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate exceptional person-centred care skills, identifying and meeting residents' unique needs and preferences.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, adhering to health and safety regulations, infection control guidelines, and St Monica Trust's policies.
  • Conduct room checks, ensuring communal areas are clean, comfortable, and hygienic.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the care home teams to deliver holistic care.
  • Promote a safe and secure environment, reporting any issues or concerns.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including written, verbal, and numeracy skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment, building relationships with residents, relatives, and colleagues.
  • A basic understanding of food preparation, cleaning techniques, and health and safety principles.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and video call programs.
  • Experience working in a care setting, preferably with older adults or individuals with dementia.
Working Arrangements

This role offers a flexible schedule, with 18 hours worked over 3 x 6 hour shifts, including Sundays, Mondays, and Saturdays (1pm-7:30pm). You will receive a 30-minute unpaid meal break during each shift.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £11.50-£12.50 per hour, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including opportunities for professional development and growth within the organisation.
