Job Title: Custody Healthcare Professional

Estimated Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Custody Healthcare Professional to join our team. As a Registered Nurse (Mental Health) or Paramedic with relevant experience, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare services to vulnerable individuals in police custody.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and provide care to persons detained by the police or other agencies.
  • To manage minor illnesses or injuries and refer onwards for more serious conditions.
  • To undertake forensic examinations and record injuries, collecting DNA evidence as required.
  • To attend courts or tribunals following relevant training.
  • To maintain accurate clinical records and identify vulnerabilities, safeguarding pathways.
