At Ecm Selection, we are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Lead to join our team of scientists and engineers working on challenging low-level software and hardware projects for clients in the defence sector. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in embedded C/C++ and expand your skills in innovative technologies such as Rust and digital signal processing.

The role involves leading feasibility studies, developing demonstrators, and delivering operational systems that meet high-performance standards. You will have significant influence over the project's direction and contribute to providing first-class solutions to our clients.

We offer a competitive remuneration package, including a generous employer contribution pension, annual performance-related bonuses, and flexible core hours (10am - 4pm) with occasional flexibility around these times. A good appreciation for elegant and efficient software design, along with previous experience using source control systems like Subversion and configuring Linux systems, is essential.

  • A strong academic background, including a first-class degree or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or a similar technical subject, backed by complementary A-Levels at grade A or above

Please note that security and in-person collaboration are crucial aspects of this role, so the work is primarily based at our offices and labs.
