Communication Disorders Therapist Needed

We are seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our specialist stroke rehabilitation team at Vale Community Hospital in Dursley, Gloucestershire.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing patients with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties post-stroke. The annual salary for this role is around £42,000, dependent on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective treatment plans for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
  2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care and support.
  3. Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvements and quality initiatives.
  4. Offer expert guidance and support to healthcare professionals on speech and language therapy practices.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A degree in Speech and Language Therapy from a recognised institution is mandatory.
  • Registration with the HCPC and membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists is also necessary.
  • Postgraduate training in dysphagia is advantageous.
