Restaurant Team Member

As a Food Service Worker at The Peacock, you will play a vital part in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for assisting in food preparation and cooking, maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas, and serving food and beverages to customers with a smile.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong ability to work well under pressure, and a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in a hospitality or culinary environment is preferred but not essential.

About The Position- Key Tasks:
- Prepare and cook food to a high standard, following recipes and portion control guidelines.
- Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean and organised, meeting the highest standards of food safety.
- Provide excellent customer service, serving food and beverages with a smile and responding promptly to customer inquiries.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, using basic maths skills for processing payments.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Participate in training sessions on food safety practices and culinary techniques as required.
- Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well within a team.
- Strong time management skills to effectively prioritise tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is advantageous.
- A keen understanding of food safety standards and practices is beneficial.
- Previous experience in a hospitality or culinary environment is preferred but not essential.
