Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at Teaching Personnel. This rewarding role involves supporting students with complex Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in the South of Bristol area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality lessons within the national curriculum, tailored to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
- Collaborate with the class team to create inclusive learning environments that promote positive behaviors and foster social growth.
- Monitor pupils' progress, reporting concerns and successes to colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and support.
- Safeguard pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular programs and school trips, maintaining a safe and respectful atmosphere.
- Establish strong relationships with pupils, encouraging interaction, and driving positive learning outcomes through empathy and understanding.
Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Demonstrate previous successful teaching experience, particularly in SEN settings.
- Evidence of adaptability and willingness to learn, embracing professional development opportunities.
- A commitment to safeguarding pupils and upholding the highest standards of behavior management.
Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
