About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our dynamic team. As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for creating an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students with a range of special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement tailored education programs (IEPs) to meet each student's unique needs.
  • Support students' academic, social, and emotional growth by adapting teaching approaches based on their progress and requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals, to provide comprehensive support for each student.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive classroom environment that promotes learning and self-confidence.
  • Regularly assess and report student progress, providing timely feedback to parents, guardians, and other stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with additional SEN certification preferred.
  • Previous experience teaching students with SEN is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are required.
  • A solid understanding of SEN legislation, including safeguarding and the SEND Code of Practice, is necessary.
Benefits and Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £30,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Teaching Personnel offers all its registered candidates free child protection and prevent duty training. Additionally, we undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education', which may include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants. A valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is also required.
