Railway Systems Designer

CPR is seeking a skilled Railway Systems Designer to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing complex railway systems, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced professional with expertise in Control, Command, and Signalling (CCS) systems. As a Railway Systems Designer, you will be responsible for evaluating and overseeing supplier designs and processes on a new high-speed railway project. You will need to have a solid understanding of risk management, railway technical standards, and compliance frameworks. Experience with European Train Control System (ETCS), especially Level 2 and 3, and Automatic Train Operation (ATO) at Grade of Automation Level 2 (GoA2), is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement interlocking systems, track circuits, axle counters, and ETCS Level 2
- Evaluate and oversee supplier designs and processes
- Ensure proposed systems meet safety and operational standards, including compliance with frameworks like the Common Safety Method (CSM)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Proven experience in CCS system design and implementation
- Strong understanding of railway technical standards and compliance frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to challenge designs
