Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled MET Technician to join our team at Clear Automotive. As a MET Technician, you will be responsible for removing and refitting mechanical and electrical trims/panels/components on vehicles, ensuring that stripping and rebuilding work is carried out in a professional and correct manner, and undertaking final quality checks in line with applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Remove and refit mechanical and electrical trims/panels/components on vehicles
  • Ensure stripping and rebuilding work is carried out in a professional and correct manner
  • Undertake final quality checks in line with applicable standards
  • Dismantle vehicles ready for panel area
  • Carry out inspections, fault finding, and diagnostic work
  • Order replacement parts
  • Re-assemble vehicles with new parts as required to pre-accident condition
  • Strip and fit components, bodywork, and trim elements
  • Follow manufacturer repair methods to return vehicles to pre-accident condition
  • Fault finding/diagnostics
  • Ensure all jobs are completed within estimated times
Requirements:
  • ATA, NVQ 3, or IMI 3 qualifications
  • Experience in accident repair and panel work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
