About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Producer to join our team at News UK. As a key member of our Broadcasting Digital team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering commercial projects across our brands, including talkSPORT, Virgin Radio UK, and Times Radio.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise closely with the commercial sales team to develop new briefs and ideas for commercial social video content.
  • Work closely with editorial teams to ensure commercial projects feel native while meeting client KPIs.
  • Create and manage production budgets for individual projects.
  • Develop and present original concepts for commercial social video content to internal and external clients.
  • Work with talent agencies to book and negotiate fees for talent appearances in shows.
  • Write scripts and prepare queue cards and autocue notes as needed.
  • Attend shoots, plan and run itineraries, and brief filming crews.
  • Oversee the final edit and ensure timely delivery of versions.

  • A strong understanding of the sports news agenda and ability to follow the latest stories and trends.
  • Experience working in a similar role as a content producer, ideally with commercial experience.
  • A go-to black book of industry contacts and a proactive, driven approach to getting things done.
  • Unflappable under pressure with the ability to multitask across multiple projects.
