Mental Health Care Specialist

Salary: The hourly rate for this role is £25, with a £2 enhancement for nights and weekends. This equates to an estimated annual salary of approximately £45,000, based on a 37.5-hour workweek.
Job Description: As a Mental Health Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to individuals with diverse mental health conditions, fostering therapeutic relationships, and working collaboratively with a range of professionals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing care and managing symptoms for patients with mental health conditions
- Patient transfers from hospital to home, home to hospitals
- Building therapeutic relationships and offering crisis intervention
- Liaising with doctors, social workers, and other professionals
- Interacting with patients' families, offering advice and information
- Preparing and maintaining patient records, care plans, and risk assessments
- Leading a staff team during patient conveyance or therapeutic observational service
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A current valid NMC Pin - RMN
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Teamwork skills and good time management
- A full UK Driving License (no provisional licenses)
- Right to work in the UK
- Minimum 3 years UK employment history
- Previous experience working in a mental health hospital, specialist service, or community role
