About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our Packaging site in Lockerbie as an Apprentice Engineer Technician. This exciting opportunity will provide you with hands-on operational experience and the chance to develop your skills in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support planned preventative maintenance plans;
  • Carry out reactive repair and improvement on equipment;
  • Sourcing spare parts and service contracts;
  • Continually looking at ways to improve Asset Performance;
  • Maintaining comprehensive equipment records;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • GCSE English, Maths and Science at grade C or grade 4 or above or equivalent;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  • A proactive and curious approach to problem-solving;
  • A keen attention to detail and desire to produce high-quality work;

Assessment Process

Once you have gone through the initial screening process, you will be asked to complete an online Engineering Technician Aptitude Test. Successful candidates will then be invited to an Assessment Day in late June/early July. During this Assessment Day, you will take part in a number of individual and group activities and have a 1-2-1 interview with your Engineering Manager.
