About the Role

We are seeking a skilled M&E Technician to join our team at Arla Foods Lockerbie Dairy & Creamery. As an M&E Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and service pumps, valves, feed systems, and other mechanical components
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in the digestion system and associated equipment
  • Monitor the performance of the anaerobic digestion process using control systems
  • Adjust controls to regulate flow rates, temperatures, and mixing to optimize the digestion process and collect and analyze data on biogas production, quality, and composition

Requirements

  • Ambition and drive
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering within manufacturing, production, and process environments
  • Ideal experience working on an effluent treatment plant (ETP) or anaerobic digestion plant (AD)
  • Ideal apprentice-trained with NVQ or CITB level 3 qualification within an engineering discipline
  • Computer literate – SAP, Microsoft Office, SCADA, Trend systems, HMI's
  • Time served as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within a manufacturing environment
