About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance and Engineering Specialist to join our team at Arla Foods Lockerbie Dairy & Creamery. As an M&E Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and service pumps, valves, feed systems, and other mechanical components
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in the digestion system and associated equipment
  • Monitor the performance of the anaerobic digestion process using control systems
  • Adjust controls to regulate flow rates, temperatures, and mixing to optimize the digestion process and collect and analyse data on biogas production, quality, and composition

Requirements

  • Ambition & drive
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering within manufacturing, Production and Process environments, experience working on a effluent treatment plant (ETP) or Anaerobic Digestion plant (AD) would be highly desirable.
  • Ideally apprentice trained with NVQ OR CITB level 3 qualification within an engineering discipline
  • Ideally you will have experience with fast- moving machinery including pumps, valves, feed systems, heat exchangers, digesters and so on.
  • Computer literate – SAP, Microsoft Office, SCADA, Trend systems, HMI'S
  • Time served as Multi- Skilled Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
