Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to students with diverse learning needs in a vibrant and inclusive educational community in Barnet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, including academic assistance, behavioural support, and personal care.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is preferred but not essential – a compassionate attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting students facing a range of challenges.
