The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively monitoring internal systems, ensuring timely processing of system monitoring alerts, and effectively managing incidents and changes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Incident Management: Raising and managing incidents via the ITSM system and other BAU tasks.
- Customer Problem Resolution: Ensuring that all customer problems are resolved to a satisfactory conclusion.
- Knowledge Base Management: Ensuring the team's knowledge base is kept up to date.
- Service Level Agreements: Ensuring all Incident OLA and SLAs are met.
- Major Incident Management: Managing major incidents.
- Team Support: Acting as a resource to the infrastructure team.
- Professional Service: Providing a professional service at all times.
Main Requirements:
- Technical Skills: Experience and an understanding of Windows Server 2012 onwards, Microsoft SQL Server 2012 onwards, Microsoft Office, and Network Technologies (WAN/LAN) and Remote Access.
- ITSM Experience: Experience of incident management on an ITSM system.
- Documentation Skills: Understanding of the creation of knowledge base documentation.
- System Monitoring Tools: Knowledge of system monitoring tools i. Microsoft System Center Operations Manager, Solarwinds, and Squared Up.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Logical approach to troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving problems.
- Communication Skills: Ability to work under pressure whilst demonstrating a positive approach to work.
Requirements: To be considered for this role, you need to possess excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening) including an excellent telephone manner and strong customer service skills.
