Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Educational Healthcare Assistant at leading SEN schools across Lancashire.

About the Role

As an Educational Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, including physical, emotional, and learning challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personalised Care: Assist with daily living activities such as feeding, mobility, and personal care, ensuring the well-being of each student.
  • Support Learning: Assist in the classroom, working one-on-one or in small groups to facilitate learning and engagement in line with the students' educational plans.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other healthcare professionals to implement personalised educational and health care strategies.
  • Progress Monitoring: Keep detailed records of students' progress and care needs, ensuring clear communication with the wider team.
  • Promoting Independence: Encourage students to develop independence and self-confidence, supporting their social and emotional development.

Requirements

  • A caring, patient, and compassionate individual with a genuine interest in supporting students with SEN.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or educational support role is desirable, but not essential.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, able to adapt to the unique needs of each student.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care or special educational needs (preferred but not required).

Key Information

  • A full-time role, Monday to Friday (8.30-3.30pm) start date ASAP.
  • A term-time only role.
  • A competitive hourly rate of pay of £12.90+ per hour depending on experience and additional duties.
