Product Design Educator

We are a specialist education recruitment agency that provides temporary and permanent staffing solutions to secondary schools in the South West. Our goal is to provide exceptional teachers to our clients, ensuring that their students receive the best possible education. As a Product Design Educator, you will play a vital role in achieving this goal by teaching Design Technology to students aged 11-18. Your expertise will help shape the next generation of designers and innovators.
Key Responsibilities:
- To teach Design Technology to students aged 11-18, with a specialization in Product Design.
- To design engaging teaching materials and resources.
- To develop good working relationships with students and staff.
- To monitor student progress in the subject and provide feedback to parents and carers.
- To stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and changes in the education sector.
Requirements:
- A degree in Design Technology or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status.
- Experience of teaching Design Technology to students aged 11-18.
- Good teaching skills, including the ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
- A passion for Design Technology and a commitment to promoting the subject to students.
Working Conditions:
This role is available immediately, and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be required to work in a co-educational school setting, teaching Design Technology to students aged 11-18. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents. They will also have a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
