About the Role

We are working with a local authority in Surrey Heath who are seeking a dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. The role involves conducting holistic assessments of social care needs and planning support across a dedicated caseload. You will work closely with families, carers, and care workers to support individuals with diverse backgrounds and needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct person-centred and proportionate OT assessments
  • Work within a social care, health, or community-focused multi-disciplinary setting
  • Familiarity with moving and handling equipment such as hoists and stand aids
  • Knowledge of medical conditions and their impact on individuals, carers, and families
  • Knowledge of current legislation and its application in social care

Requirements

  • Professional qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience working in a social care, health, or community-focused setting
