We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Manager to join our team at Quality Service Recruitment. As a Farm Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our poultry farm, ensuring the highest standards of bird welfare and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:- Management of Poultry Farm Operations: Oversee the daily management of the farm, including setting up houses for chicks, conducting daily checks on housing and birds, and ensuring ongoing biosecurity.
- Bird Management: Manage crop estimation, complete daily checklists, and all relevant paperwork in accordance with Quality Control.
- Supervision and Management: Supervise and manage relevant staff, liaise with customers, and manage external contractors.
- Maintenance and Compliance: Maintain safe work practices, basic farm and equipment maintenance, and compliance with legislative and assurance scheme standards.
- Experience: Previous experience within the poultry industry, preferably as a Farm Manager or in a similar role.
- Qualifications: NVQ in Poultry production or Poultry Passport.
- Skills: Excellent understanding of bird welfare and management skills, ability to communicate effectively with team and contractors.
- Competitive Salary: Up to £35,280.00 per year.
- Benefits: Company pension, on-site parking.
