Poultry Farm Operations Manager

At Quality Service Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a poultry farm, ensuring the highest standards of bird welfare and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:- General Bird Management: The Farm Manager will be responsible for setting up houses for chicks, conducting daily checks on housing and birds, and ensuring the overall health and well-being of the flock.
- Crop Estimation and Management: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing crop estimation, ensuring accurate records are kept, and making informed decisions to optimize crop yields.
- Health and Safety: The Farm Manager will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to company Health and Safety Policies, and ensuring all employees and visitors are aware of and comply with safety procedures.
- Supervision and Management: The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and managing relevant staff, ensuring they are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Communication and Liaison: The Farm Manager will be responsible for liaising with customers, managing external contractors, and maintaining effective communication with the production management team.
- Previous Experience: The successful candidate will have previous experience within the poultry industry, with a proven track record of managing poultry farms.
- Qualifications: The Farm Manager will hold a relevant qualification in Agriculture, such as an NVQ in Poultry Production or Poultry Passport.
- Skills: The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
