**Job Title:** Year 6 Teacher



We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team at a vibrant and welcoming Primary School in Paignton, Devon.



Key Responsibilities


  • Lesson Planning: Develop and deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to the needs of Year 6 pupils.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Transition Support: Prepare students for their transition to secondary education, ensuring they meet end-of-year expectations.
  • Classroom Environment: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and a love for learning.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement the Year 6 curriculum.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and attainment.
  • Parent Communication: Engage with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and development.


Qualifications and Experience


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant teaching degree.
  • Proven experience teaching at the primary level, ideally with Year 6.
  • Strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and the ethos of the school.
