Harris Burns Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head of Financial Services to join their team. As a key member of the Finance Department, you will be responsible for providing expert financial input, advice, and support in all areas of financial accounts.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of financial accounting principles and experience in leading the production of statutory annual accounts. They will also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information and convey it clearly to stakeholders.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that offers a competitive salary of £85,000 - £95,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will receive a range of benefits, including a comprehensive pension scheme, life insurance, and a generous annual leave entitlement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the production of statutory annual accounts, providing comprehensive procedure notes, high-quality working papers, and a detailed plan and timetable to finance and non-finance staff.
- Responsible for month-end and year-end processes, producing schedules for external statutory accounts, returns to the Department of Health, and internal reporting.
- Work with external auditors during audit of statutory accounts, ensuring timely responses to queries raised by the auditors.
Requirements:
- CIMA/CCAB-qualified Accountant or equivalent.
- Proven experience in leading financial accounting teams and producing statutory annual accounts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
