Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Design Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract, based in Glasgow. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and optimising HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Optimise HVAC Systems: Develop and implement HVAC system designs that meet client and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and Review Engineering Documentation: Create, check, and review technical specifications, control philosophies, system philosophies, and other engineering documents.
  • Provide Technical Direction: Offer technical guidance to engineering disciplines, project personnel, and vendors.
  • Conduct Site Surveys: Undertake site visits to develop HVAC system designs.
  • Ensure Design Drawings and Documents are Completed on Time: Meet project deadlines for completing HVAC design drawings and documents.
  • Perform Load and Energy Calculations: Conduct calculations to determine HVAC system requirements.

  • Conduct Energy Audits and Propose Retrofit Solutions: Identify opportunities to improve HVAC system efficiency and propose solutions.
  • Participate in Research and Development: Contribute to research and development activities for advanced HVAC technologies and sustainable practices.
  • Provide Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Offer technical assistance and troubleshooting for HVAC-related issues during project execution and post-installation phases.
  • Participate in Project Strategy and Planning Meetings: Contribute to project strategy and planning meetings and support management of change.
  • Implement HSE Requirements: Ensure safe and sustainable engineering outcomes by implementing HSE requirements.
  • Oversee Installation and Commissioning: Supervise the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring they meet design specifications.
