Job Title: Financial Regulatory Policy Director

About the Role

The Finance Manager - Compliance role is a critical position within our organization, responsible for driving finance regulatory policy, processes, governance, and controls across all areas of the firm. This high-profile role will drive the compliance change agenda with truly global exposure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance of all finance processes with the SRA Accounts Rules and equivalent local regulations across all entities and jurisdictions globally.
  • Maintain and monitor consistent finance governance and controls frameworks across Eversheds Sutherland globally.
  • Become the go-to person for client money and finance compliance queries within the firm.
  • Manage the external SRA Client Money Audit and implement a robust internal auditing program for SRA compliance.
  • Provide governance and assurance over monthly bank reconciliations and internal reviews.
  • Manage the breach review process across all finance teams.
  • Liaise with the Risk function to ensure alignment of policy and regulatory requirements across processes impacting both finance and risk.
Requirements
  • Strong background in audit, risk, or controls governance.
  • Experience of operating within a regulated environment - legal/SRA experience and dealing with client money is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage conflicting timescales and demands.
  • Organised and efficient with a 'right first time' approach to quality of work.
