About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Financial Regulatory Policy. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in driving finance regulatory policy, processes, governance, and controls across all areas of the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the compliance of all finance processes with the SRA Accounts Rules and equivalent local regulations across all entities and jurisdictions globally.
  2. Maintain and monitor consistent finance governance and controls frameworks across Eversheds Sutherland globally.
  3. Act as the primary contact for client money and finance compliance queries within the firm.
  4. Implement a robust internal auditing program for SRA compliance.
  5. Provide governance and assurance over monthly bank reconciliations and internal reviews.
  6. Manage the breach review process across all finance teams.
  7. Liaise with the Risk function to ensure alignment of policy and regulatory requirements across processes impacting both finance and risk.
Requirements
  • Strong background in audit, risk, or controls governance.
  • Experience of operating within a regulated environment - legal/SRA experience and dealing with client money is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage conflicting timescales and demands.
  • Organised and efficient with a 'right first time' approach to quality of work.
