About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Operations Manager to join our team at Ultimate Banking. As a key member of our BTL mortgage processing team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end mortgage processing and underwriting teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and Manage Mortgage Processing Teams
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and journey.
  • Collaborate with the underwriting team to ensure all loans are written within the company's risk appetite.
Manage Mortgage Underwriting Teams
  • Oversee the manual underwriting of complex mortgage applications, including LYD company, HMO, and Multi Let properties.
  • Ensure all underwriting decisions are made in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Provide Best-in-Class Service
  • Work closely with intermediary partners and borrowers to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Previous management/team leadership experience in mortgage operations or a related field.
  • A current or recently held BTL mortgage mandate, alongside experience of manual underwriting BTL complex mortgage applications.
