Job Summary:

The European Bank for Reconstruction & Development is seeking a highly experienced Senior Agile Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale ERP Transformation projects. As a key member of the Agile Delivery team, you will be responsible for coordinating and leading agile teams to deliver projects in line with the required standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage agile teams to deliver ERP Transformation projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with Scrum team Product Owners to build a clear roadmap for delivery, aligned to business value.
  • Work closely with the Director, Head of COMPASS Transformation program, ePMO, and business project managers to align delivery workstreams and resources.
  • Streamline delivery with partner teams to meet the overall program plan and budget.
  • Manage day-to-day delivery, ensuring incremental and iterative value delivery.
  • Facilitate cross-functional groups to plan and deliver initiatives, selecting the most suitable methodology.
  • Ensure initiatives are appropriately resourced with the necessary skills and expertise.
  • Follow Agile Delivery practice standards to ensure all delivery risks and issues are captured and mitigated.
  • Report progress status as required by the PMO.
  • Complete project artefacts to a high standard, meeting all governance criteria.
  • Make delivery metrics visible to the teams.
  • Align with department standards, working with the peer network and heads of practice.
  • Work with project sponsors and key stakeholders to drive the correct outcome.
  • Support the preparation of business cases, as needed.
  • Enhance Agile delivery methodologies and build understanding and capability across teams.
  • Contribute to the Agile Delivery Managers community of practice.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in an IT discipline or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Significant experience in leading and managing technology workstreams of large-scale complex SAP-enabled business transformation programs.
  • Managing blended delivery teams, including internal, contractor, and SI partner resources, following Agile methodology.
  • Managing phased delivery with multiple releases into the production environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of and previous delivery using the SAP Activate methodology.
  • Leading geographically dispersed teams (HQ, near-shore, and offshore delivery locations).
  • Familiarity with the Finance and HR functional domains.
  • Successfully managing suppliers and internal teams against fixed price/fixed outcome contractual and commercial models.
  • Deployments into SAP private cloud (S/4 HANA) and SAP Public Cloud (SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur).
  • SAP RISE.
  • Supporting senior leadership communications and senior stakeholder relationship management.
  • Good practitioner knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and lean methodologies, coupled with a practical understanding of Agile principles and processes.
  • Effective communication, conveying technical detail in a non-technical manner.
  • Good at building relationships within project teams.
  • Resilient, with the ability to stay the course to deliver initiatives as per plan.
  • A proven track record in delivering continuous value within agreed constraints, with at least 2 Agile programs of £10m or more.
  • Good understanding of the procurement process, including negotiation with third parties.
  • Experience of 3rd party stakeholder management.
  • An understanding of commercial arrangements, such as preparation of Statements of Work.
  • End-to-end delivery of initiatives, including budget management, recruitment, scoping, planning, tracking, and bringing to closure.
