About the RoleOur client's HSE team is dedicated to creating a positive culture that emphasizes all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environment. They are committed to risk management, effective communication, consultation, behavioural awareness, trust-building, and comprehensive training.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice, guidance, and support to our clients' employees on various HSE matters.
- Support the objectives of our clients' HSE management systems and strategies.
- Conduct internal audits of HSE management systems.
- Deliver comprehensive Health and Safety inductions to new employees.
- Collaborate in HSE meetings, working groups, steering committees, and other forums to contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Participate in or lead HSE investigations as needed.
- Manage HSE training requirements and platforms.
- Coordinate with HR on occupational health, display screen equipment assessments, and other necessary adjustments.
- Assist in EcoOnline reviews and ensure accurate input of employee and environmental data.
- Support the planning and execution of external audits, including ISO 45001, 45003, and 14001 management standards.
- Ensure proper management and storage of HSE-related documents and artifacts for accessibility by stakeholders.
- NEBOSH HSE certificate (essential or working towards)
- Proficiency in functional HSE management systems
- Familiarity with statutory tools and resources for decision support (e.g., HSE and Environment Agency websites)
- Strong understanding of competency and when to provide advice
- Experience in internal investigation and audits is desirable
- Knowledge of ISO management standards 45001/3 and 14001 is advantageous
