Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Neurologist to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality neurology services in the region, working closely with a team of Consultant Neurologists.

Main Duties

The post-holder will be expected to provide a mix of general neurology clinics and subspecialty clinics, with a focus on epilepsy and motor neurone disease. The successful candidate will be responsible for the care of patients in their charge and will contribute to the delivery of teaching and training to students at Nottingham University Medical School.

Clinical Neurology forms part of the Nottingham Regional Neuroscience Unit, serving the population of Nottingham and providing an outreach neurological service to Kings Mill Hospital in Mansfield. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality neurology services in the region
  • Work closely with a team of Consultant Neurologists
  • Provide a mix of general neurology clinics and subspecialty clinics
  • Contribute to the delivery of teaching and training to students at Nottingham University Medical School
  • Be responsible for the care of patients in their charge
Person Specification

We are looking for a Consultant Neurologist who has:

  • Full GMC Registration
  • Eligible to be included on the specialist register (or CCT expected within 6 months)
  • Further higher training or qualification (MD or PhD)
